“Slipper Shell Litany,” 2024

Taking up the figure of slipper shells as sequential hermaphrodites, this collection of poems considers the dangerous and thrilling possibility of trans life. “Slipper Shell” is a small slice of my MFA thesis. With design and illustration by Rayn Bumstead.

“I Want a Boner for the Future,” 2022

Wistful and embarrassingly honest, these poems examine the strange regret of early-stage transitioning. The zine balances between reveling in romantic love and critical self-examination as the poet’s future closes, then closes again.

“Immaculate Child,” 2021

This collection mocks narratives of genesis, biological reproduction, and origin stories. Poems take up the crisis of transracial adoption to reveal the poet’s melancholy, grief, and insistence on non-linear futures.

“I Voyeurself To,” 2020

My first zine studies the Asian American canon of poetry to mimic experimental writers such as Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, Bhanu Khapil, and Myung Mi Kim. These poems are an exercise in freedom and a release from white poetic tradition.
